October 15th to November 5th
Make Jesus Great Again
Thank you for making a commitment to fast and pray using this OctoberFast guide. It’s time for this nation, starting with the church, to be greatly humbled, and to repent, and surrender our way for Christ Jesus, the only way, truth, and life. We should seek not to make America or the government great again but to make Jesus great again in the heart of the people as He used to be – the center of it all.
Our fasting and prayer are not so much about political motivations and what happens at the voting booth as about transforming the heart of America beyond November, which is currently on life support. Therefore, let’s unite and prepare to focus our devotions in the right place.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness,
and all these things will be added to you.
– Matthew 6:33
INTRO: Jesus at the Center
“America was established to embody a commitment to the principles of justice that come from the teachings of Holy Scripture.”
– President Woodrow Wilson
“Jesus Christ is at the center of everything: ‘all things have been created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together… In [Him] are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.’” (Col. 1:16–17; 2:3)
– C. S. Lewis
At the onset of our nation, Jesus WAS at the center of people’s lives for the majority who were devout and was held in pious regard even by secularists for all things good and moral. Jesus was the central motivation to come to this land to seek to serve Him freely. His words are central to our founding documents and manifestos. He was at the center of life and work and education. Not on the sidelines. Not just within the walls of a church building, but front and center of it ALL, and God blessed that pursuit richly.
A government that places God and His word at the center doesn’t rule as a monarchy, but seeks instead to serve as guardians and stewards. The President doesn’t rule but pledges to protect each citizen’s inalienable rights that come from God alone and to guard and uphold the nation’s Constitution. This turned every other earthly government system on its head, because the King of kings was installed at the center instead of earthly royalties.
If any argument be made for American exceptionalism, it begins with that truth.
The nation’s Founders were wise and blessed to understand that administrations, politicians, armies, horses, and chariots ARE NOT the solutions we desperately need, and they alone WILL NOT bring lasting change and peace (Psalm 20:7-8).
While it is good and right to pray for God to use earthly government institutions to bring blessings and pursue happiness, an ultimate lasting foundation will never come from man alone.
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
– Psalm 16:11
May God bless you as you press in and seek His heart at this critical time for our nation and His kingdom.

Information on Fasting
There is an urgency to combine our prayers with fasting and press into this season of devastation. The Bible testifies to the power of prayer when combined with fasting (Matt 17:21, Deut 9:9, Joel 2:12, Isa 58:6) to loosen the bonds of wickedness, undo the bands of the yoke, let the oppressed go free and break every yoke. Fasting is about taking our focus off of the things of this world to focus more on the things of God.
Fasting is a personal decision that can take many forms to accommodate each person’s ability, needs and commitment goals. Some people may choose to fast in a smaller way each day or perhaps in a bigger way on only certain days of the week. For instance, some may decide not to have breakfast or wait to eat until dinner each day, which would constitute their version of fasting. Others may decide to confine their fasting to only 2 or 3 days out of the week, during which they eat very little or at all. Regardless of which method you personally decide on, the important thing is to incorporate and schedule prayer into those fasting times. Allow prayer to sustain you in those moments, instead of physical food. For more information, please consider these biblical guides to help you prepare:
Suggestions for using this Prayer Guide
For each day, this guide provides a famous quote, prayer verse, prayer points, and suggested daily reading. Prepare in advance by asking God to help you devote time before Him and commit to praying as this effort will demand. Remember that the Enemy and all the concerns of the day will all too easily distract you. James 4:7 tells us to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. If you’ve determined that you will fast and pray in this way, then Ephesians 6:14-17 tells you to stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness, and to put on the peace that comes from the Good News and hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
As you engage in this effort, it should not be surprising if you struggle to stay on task throughout the week. If that is the case and you press through regardless by God’s grace, then take heart; you’re on the right path! However, if you slip and miss a day, don’t become discouraged and don’t quit! Just continue on the day that you’re on. God is a God of new beginnings!
Some may wish to complete daily prayer items in one sitting, while others may prefer to break them up throughout each day, such as covering the verse and prayer points in the morning and finishing with the quotes and daily reading in the evening. So, prayerfully consider how you can cover these items in your day. If we attempt to find the time and somehow “fit it in,” then our intention is insincere at best. As prayer warriors, we commit to making the time. God bless you.

Day 1 – 10/15
Quote
“It is the responsibility of both nations and individuals to acknowledge their reliance on the supreme authority of God, to admit their wrongdoings and offenses with sincere remorse, while maintaining the confident belief that true repentance will result in mercy and forgiveness. Furthermore, it is essential to accept the profound truth, as stated in the Holy Scriptures and validated by historical evidence, that only those nations whose God is the Lord are truly blessed.”
– Abe Lincoln, 1863
Verse
That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless]
– Ephesians 5:27
Today’s Prayer Points
A recent Gallup poll indicates that church attendance has dropped over the last twenty years. More Christians are not prioritizing going to church and connecting with fellow believers. Meeting with other Christians is crucial for spiritual growth. Is division playing a role in the decline of church attendance? Unfortunately, paganism is on the rise. Many people feel empty inside, and instead of seeking Jesus through the Church, they are choosing dangerous alternatives. Those of us who follow Him need to be the salt and light in our communities to help transform them according to God’s Kingdom values.
- Ask God to expose any divisive behavior you may have been a part of (gossiping, strife, discord, murmuring) and repent where He leads you.
- Pray for the church to be united in heart, mind, and purpose in Christ (see John 17:21).
- Pray for the church to love, serve, and bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 5:13; 6:2).

Day 2 – 10/16
Quote
“In our esteemed nation, the essential connection between Christianity and democracy has been clearly illustrated. The foundational principles of our legal system were bestowed upon Moses at Mount Sinai. Similarly, the core tenets of our Bill of Rights are derived from the teachings found in Exodus, the Gospel of St. Matthew, the writings of Isaiah, and the letters of St. Paul. It seems to me that we do not highlight this connection as much as we should in contemporary discussions.”
– President Harry Truman
Verse
And it shall be in the last days, saith God,
I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh:
And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
And your young men shall see visions,
And your old men shall dream dreams.
– Acts 2:17
Today’s Prayer Points
Generation Z (ages 14-27) was once seen as the least religious group, but now Generation Alpha (ages 0-13) holds that title. Both generations have grown up with technology all around them, experiencing both the real world and the online space. They look for information and connections, but this also exposes them to risks like cyberbullying and inappropriate content. These younger individuals desire acceptance, which is natural, but their voices often reflect a troubled culture. They have a strong sense of fairness and justice, which drives them to express their beliefs. Imagine the impact they could have for the kingdom of God.
- It may appear that younger generations are in conflict with older ones, but it’s not personal. They often feel misunderstood. Ask God to give you compassion for them.
- Pray for a powerful movement among Generation Z and Alpha, revealing dreams and visions of Jesus the Messiah, who embodies hope, justice, and acceptance.
- Pray that the church will guide and support their talents and strengths (see 2 Timothy 3:14-15).
- Also, pray for the growth of colleges and universities that promote righteousness, and for Christian groups on campuses to reach out to those in need and strengthen the faith of students.

Quote
“Let every individual in the military and throughout the nation carry a deep awareness of the Divine and hold close the words found in the Bible: “Those who honor Me, I will honor; but those who disregard Me will be treated with little regard” [1 Samuel 2:30].
– Samuel Adams
Verse
Then we shall not turn back from You;
Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.
O LORD God of hosts, restore us;
Cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved.
– Psalm 80:18-19
Today’s Prayer Points
Do we resemble the early Church after Christ’s ascension, or have we changed too much? Are we putting in effort like the church in Ephesus from Revelation 2, yet have lost our initial passion? Are we similar to Sardis, known for being alive but actually dead? Jesus told both churches to repent! It has often been said, “As the Church goes, so goes the nation.” We can’t blame the government for everything. We need to be honest and recognize that our apathy and hypocrisy have set a poor example. We must take responsibility for our mistakes and turn away from them. Our pride has brought us down, but the Scriptures say God will not turn away a broken and humble heart (see Psalm 51:17). Revive us again, Lord.
- Ask God to look into your heart, to examine you, and to cleanse you from any hidden faults. If you know there are things you shouldn’t be doing, turn away from them.
- Billy Graham believed that Native Americans would rise from being a “sleeping giant” to reach America for Christ. Recently, his grandson, Will Graham, told Native Americans, “God is waking the Sleeping Giant, and I believe He will use you to bring the last great revival.” Pray for the revival of all 574 Native tribes, that they may become evangelists and carriers of revival for America and the world.
- Pray for God’s presence and resurrection power to fill His churches, our nation, and all nations (see Romans 8:11).
- Pray for the Church to act with the authority given by God (see Matthew 16:18-20).
- Pray for Jesus Christ to be honored in America and to have supremacy in all things (see Colossians 1:18).

Day 4 – 10/18
Quote
“It is undeniable that the positive aspects of American civilization largely stem from the influence of Christianity. Furthermore, one cannot overlook that the significant forces driving the improvement and moral refinement of our society are fundamentally rooted in Christian principles. A belief in Jesus Christ serves as the essential source of all that is commendable and valuable in our civilization, which can be seen as the pinnacle of human progress. The principles found in the Bible are so deeply integrated into our civic and social fabric that it would be virtually impossible to envision our lives without their presence.”
– President Teddy Roosevelt
Verse
Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things.
– Hebrews 13:18
Today’s Prayer Points
We are witnessing an increasing number of men and women of faith being revealed for their sinful actions. This not only causes pain within the Church, which relies on its leaders as foundational supports, but it also frustrates those who are lost, who may use these instances to justify their condemnation of all churches and Christians. In both cases, someone suffers, including the victims involved. Throughout the letters of Paul, we see him urging the churches to pray. Beyond the attacks on them and their families, Christian leaders encounter more challenges than we can fully understand. Rather than offering constant praise that can lead to idolatry, let us focus on lifting up continuous prayers for those in spiritual leadership.
- Pray for Christian leaders to find the courage to boldly proclaim the truth of God’s Word, addressing the pressing socio-political issues we face today (refer to Romans 1:16).
- Ask for strength for pastors and ministry leaders to resist various temptations, including fleshly desires, pride, the urge to control, and the pressure to conform to unholy cultural norms (see James 4:4).
- Pray that pastors deepen their personal commitment to prayer and inspire their congregations to do the same (see Acts 1:14).

– President Dwight D. Eisenhower
Verse
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.
– Psalm 139:16
Today’s Prayer Points
Every life is made in God’s image and holds value. He has a purpose for each person, including those yet to be born. God despises the taking of innocent life (see Proverbs 6:17). We are responsible; there is no escaping this truth. We have treated our children as options rather than living beings. We have allowed their lives to be seen as less important for our own comfort and “rights.” Lord, we ask for forgiveness for our silence and for those Christians who supported pro-choice leaders. We repent for the many falsehoods surrounding abortion, including the idea that it is healthcare. Please show us mercy for the blood of millions of innocent lives lost. We ask for Your protection over America; end abortion and bring a revival.
- Pray for God to heal women who have had abortions. Ask that they receive forgiveness and emotional and physical healing through Christ.
- Pray that the church speaks up for those who cannot speak for themselves (see Proverbs 31:8).
- Pray for America to be a land of freedom and justice for everyone, including the unborn (Zechariah 7:8-10).

– President Abe Lincoln
Verse
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
– Ephesians 3:14-15
Today’s Prayer Points
God instructed Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply, establishing the first image of a family: a man and a woman united in marriage, raising children in a godly manner. Recently, someone mentioned that families were designed to fulfill the Great Commission. It’s striking how far we have strayed from this ideal. Traditional families are becoming increasingly rare, and the definition of family has undergone significant changes. Parents are often identified without gender, and same-sex couples are utilizing IVF and surrogacy to adopt children. A rising number of children are growing up in unstable environments. These shifts have undermined the very foundations of our society. The family was meant to be a vital part of God’s plan, so it’s no surprise that there are forces aiming to dismantle families.
- Request God to guide you on how to pray for families in trouble and what actions you can take.
- Pray for Christians to be strong supporters of family as described in the Bible (refer to Ephesians 5:21-25; 6:1-4).
- Pray for the completion of the first Great Commission (see Genesis 1:28) and the second (see Matthew 28:19-20).

Verse

– Genesis 1:27
Today’s Prayer Points
At the core of the gender issues we are witnessing in our country lies a profound sense of identity crisis. Many of these children, who choose to identify in various ways, are grappling with a void that only a relationship with God can fill. They may not yet understand the depth of Father God’s unconditional love or recognize that they were made in His image, with a unique plan and purpose for their lives. Somewhere along the way, they have fallen for the lie that they are unworthy. This deception originates from the father of lies, Satan. While it may seem like we are losing ground in this struggle, an increasing number of former transgenders are courageously standing against this troubling trend. Lord, we know that you are capable of anything, so we pray earnestly for our sons and daughters. We will continue to fight for them without hesitation.
- Ask God to reveal His love for the transgender community and guide your prayers. Focus on individuals you know who are struggling with this confusion.
- Pray for their hearts to heal and for them to discover their true identity and purpose (refer to Ephesians 2:10).
- Pray for those in the LGBTQ community to seek forgiveness and turn to Jesus Christ. God can transform those who have left this lifestyle into powerful messengers of the gospel to reach others in that community (Romans 8:28).

Day 8 – 10/22
Quote
“Among the numerous influences that have contributed to the formation of the United States as a unique nation and populace, none can be regarded as more essential and lasting than the Bible. The profound religious convictions derived from both the Old and New Testaments significantly motivated many of the early settlers in our nation and established the groundwork for the spirit of nationhood that would evolve in subsequent years. The teachings of the Bible played a crucial role in shaping the Founding Fathers’ steadfast belief in the inalienable rights of individuals—rights they perceived as inherent in the biblical principles of the intrinsic value and dignity of every person. This understanding of humanity also informed the principles articulated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.”
– President Ronald Reagan
Verse
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth
– 1 Timothy 2:1-4
Today’s Prayer Points
We should pray for everyone in positions of authority, not just those who share our beliefs or values. This is often easier said than done. Many of us have found it challenging to pray for this administration, right? Lord, forgive us for resisting your call to intercede for our nation’s leaders. You want all of them to find salvation and understand the truth, and we stand in agreement with your Word.
- Request God to share His heart for our leaders; transform your complaints into a prayer.
- Pray for the salvation of all elected officials, that they may find truth in Jesus Christ.
- Ask for the removal of ungodly and unrepentant leaders from their positions (refer to Psalm 109:8). Pray for the election of righteous and honest leaders at local, state, and national levels.

Verse
I will make justice the measuring line
And righteousness the level;
Then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies

Today’s Prayer Points
Election Day is just around the corner, bringing with it a significant sense of urgency. Many are still processing the events of the 2020 elections, and some have completely lost trust in the electoral system. However, this is not a moment to retreat in fear or disappointment; it’s a time to stand strong. Lord, please bring back integrity to our election process.
- Ask God for a specific verse from Scripture that you can lift up in prayer regarding the elections.
- Pray for the revelation of anyone attempting to undermine the integrity of the process through tampering with tabulation machines, ballot box stuffing, or permitting those without identification, illegal immigrants, or deceased individuals to cast votes (refer to Proverbs 10:9).
- Ask God to raise discerning and vigilant poll watchers and officials who can identify any schemes aimed at delaying or obstructing the voting process (see Psalm 21:11).

Day 10 – 10/24
Quote
“We have been blessed with the most generous gifts from Heaven. For many years, we have enjoyed a state of peace and prosperity. Our population, wealth, and influence have expanded in a manner unparalleled by any other nation. However, we have neglected our relationship with God. We have overlooked the benevolent hand that has safeguarded us in tranquility, enriched us, and fortified our position; instead, we have foolishly convinced ourselves, in the delusion of our hearts, that these blessings are the result of our own superior wisdom and virtue. Overwhelmed by continuous success, we have grown excessively self-reliant, failing to recognize our need for redeeming and sustaining grace, and too proud to seek the guidance of the God who created us. It is therefore imperative that we humble ourselves before the offended Divine, acknowledge our national transgressions, and earnestly seek mercy and forgiveness.”
– Abe Lincoln, 1863
Verse
Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!
Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
“Do not forsake her, and she will guard you;
Love her, and she will watch over you.
– Proverbs 4:5-6
Today’s Prayer Points
Younger generations, such as Gen Z and Millennials, are actively expressing their views by participating in elections. Gen Z is credited with helping to prevent a significant red wave during the last midterms. However, while younger voters are making their voices heard, many Christians are not. According to ‘My Faith Votes’, around twenty-five million registered Christian voters are not anticipated to cast their ballots in the upcoming presidential elections. Additionally, another survey reveals that 65 million Christians do not engage in local elections, and 15 million are not even registered to vote. These statistics are quite striking! Choosing to remain silent and not vote is, in itself, a choice. Pray specifically for Christians who may not vote regularly! Lord, we ask for forgiveness for our indifference, for our inaction, and for our complaints about the issues we see in our communities and country. It is the elect who can truly change elections. Lord, may Your Church raise her voice through her votes. Let us pray for guidance for those voting for the first time.
- Pray for believers everywhere to recognize the importance of the times (refer to 1 Chronicles 12:32), register to vote, and participate in voting in record numbers. While faith is important, combining faith with action is even more powerful (see James 2:17-18). Encourage the 25 million Christians who do not vote to realize their responsibility and the importance of voting for their biblical values as followers of Jesus.
- Pray against any invalid or illegal votes, compromised voting machines, and all attempts to cheat. Ask that this election be the most honest and fair one in history (see Luke 8:17; Psalm 55:9-11).

– John 8:32
Today’s Prayer Points
Clear misinformation and the suppression of media outlets that share the truth have led to anxiety and confusion, causing rifts among family, friends, and neighbors. It’s become evident that many channels of information are biased, corrupt, or compromised. Ultimately, the truth holds more power than any falsehood, as it has the ability to liberate people.
- Pray for honesty and truthfulness in the media. Ask for corrupt media outlets to change their ways or shut down (see Ephesians 4:25).
- Pray for wisdom and fair, unbiased reporting that focuses on the facts (see James 3:17).

– Hebrews 4:12
Today’s Prayer Points
Discernment is a wonderful gift from the Spirit of God. It enables us to differentiate between what is truly right and what merely seems right. It’s important to recognize that the Spirit of God is distinct from other influences. For instance, a political spirit is prevalent today. You can identify a political spirit by the presence of pride, division, conflict, jealousy, and self-interest. Be cautious of those who demonize others or prioritize opinions over the truth. A person driven by a political spirit is often more focused on their own agenda than on genuinely caring for others, including the Church, which they may exploit to achieve their objectives.
- God, please forgive us, the Church, for letting politics affect our congregations. Reflect on any ways you might have been swayed.
- Ask for clarity and put on your spiritual armor. Our country is in a serious spiritual fight (refer to Ephesians 6:12).
- Look for God’s guidance, stay humble, and refresh your mind every day (see Colossians 3:12; Romans 12:2).

Today’s Prayer Points
A strong and united military is essential for our nation. Beyond safeguarding our homeland, they also offer humanitarian assistance and enhance diplomatic efforts. While they are well-prepared and trained, they often face significant stress. These courageous individuals put their lives on the line, with many leaving their families behind. They live with the constant awareness that they could be called to serve at any time, risking their lives in conflict.
- Pray for God’s safety over our military and their families (Psalm 91).
- Pray for the chaplains who offer spiritual support and share the gospel (see Matthew 9:38).
- Pray for the leaders of each military branch to oppose progressive agendas and stay strong in our defense forces (Isaiah 40:29).

Verse
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
– Psalm 18:2
Today’s Prayer Points
Some days, it can be tough to keep up with the news and social media. While some reports claim that crime rates are dropping, those living in the most dangerous cities would likely disagree. Jesus cautioned his disciples that in the end times, lawlessness would rise, and many people’s love would grow cold. The Bible also warns us that people will label evil as good and good as evil, trading darkness for light and bitterness for sweetness (see Isaiah 5:20). This suggests that many will choose what is contrary to goodness. The only true solution to lawlessness is found in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the light of the world and the ultimate expression of God’s love.
- Pray for Americans to gain understanding and insight, which can only be found in Jesus (refer to John 8:12; 14:6).
- Pray for peace and for Christ’s followers to use their spiritual power to eliminate the evil that leads to crime, disorder, and strife in our communities and country (see Romans 16:20).
- Pray for wisdom, bravery, and safety for law enforcement and first responders.

The future and success of America is not in this Constitution, but in the laws of God upon which this Constitution is founded.”
– James Madison
Verse
You have established all the boundaries of the earth;
You have made summer and winter.
– Psalm 74:17
Today’s Prayer Points
God was the first to set boundaries. He is the one who designed them. Throughout history, borders have served as a shield against invading forces, safeguarding our freedoms. However, the significance of these lines has become muddled, leading to intense discussions. Today, some view the push for secure borders and thorough vetting of those entering the U.S. as an act of racism and hatred. The issue of open borders has grown into a challenge that feels overwhelming for us, both financially and physically, but it is not beyond God’s capability.
- Pray for God to bring order to our borders by sealing the open areas that let in illegal immigrants, criminals, and even terrorists without detection (refer to Isaiah 60:18).
- Pray for safety from crime and terrorist threats, and for the Americans living in border towns who are worried about their safety and that of their families (see Psalm 32:7; 46:1).

For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe. He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing.
– Deuteronomy 10:17-18
Today’s Prayer Points
Open borders have led to an immigration crisis. Every day, individuals from over 150 countries enter the U.S., and not all of them have good intentions. Among them are human traffickers, drug smugglers, and even terrorists. However, it’s important to remember that not every undocumented immigrant is a criminal. Some are fleeing violence and terror, while others are simply looking for a better life for themselves and their families. In their desperation, some may resort to illegal means for quicker entry. It’s hard to fault them for wanting to come to our country. Nevertheless, we must uphold and restore our legal processes and procedures. We ask for guidance for our Homeland Security and border officials to follow our laws and do what is right in these trying times.
- God cares for foreigners just like He cares for orphans and widows. If we have looked at them with bias, it’s time to change our view and see them as individuals. Let’s pray that they meet Christ.
- Ask for wisdom and fairness so that our lawmakers will follow federal immigration laws and fix the serious issues in our immigration system (refer to Proverbs 2:6).
- Pray for the safety of migrant children and women who are victims of sex trafficking at the border. A DHS report states that around 323,000 children are missing and need to be rescued.
- Pray for justice in all situations (refer to Psalm 106:3).

“The only guide of life which really leads the spirit in the way of peace and salvation. America was born a Christian nation. America was born to exemplify that devotion to the elements of righteousness which are derived from the revelations of Holy Scripture.”
– Woodrow Wilson
Verse
But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged
– 2 Timothy 2:23-25
Today’s Prayer Points
America has faced a civil war in the past. With rising cultural tensions, economic struggles, dissatisfaction with the government, divisions, and violent protests, it feels like the country is on the brink of another conflict. This situation is not coincidental; it appears to be a deliberate effort to keep our nation fractured. We should consider who stands to gain from a divided America. It certainly isn’t God-fearing Christians or those who cherish our country, but rather those with ulterior motives. We need to advocate for unity in America to prevent history from repeating itself. If, as one theologian suggested, “history belongs to the intercessors,” then we can make a difference through dedicated and faith-filled prayer.
- Pray for wisdom, insight, and clarity for our nation’s leaders so they can rise above division and prevent our country from falling into hate, violence, and civil war (see 1 Kings 3:9).
- Ask God to guide leaders to govern with fairness and care for every American (see Leviticus 19:15).
Today’s Reading
James 4:1-10
Day 18 – 11/1
Quote
“Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet anchor of your liberties, write its precepts in your hearts, and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this book are we indebted for all the progress made in true civilization, and to this we must look as our guide in the future. Righteousness exalteth a nation but sin is a reproach to any people.”
– President Ulysses S. Grant
Verse
Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them.
– Ephesians 5:11
Today’s Prayer Points
If you can control the narrative, you can influence almost everything. The idea of globalism and the establishment of a “New World Order” led by a select few is not a recent phenomenon. Some leaders advocate for global solutions to tackle our economic and environmental challenges, suggesting that this approach will benefit our nation and foster connections with others for the greater good, often with promises like “you will own nothing and be happy.” However, those who are perceptive recognize this as a clear communist deception, paving the way for extensive government control over every aspect of our lives. In such a regime, there will be no space for independence, free thought, or faith—only absolute conformity. The freedoms we cherish in America would be extinguished under such a totalitarian regime.
- Let us pray for the unveiling of the roots of globalism and the forces that manipulate it (refer to Luke 12:2-3).
- Pray for divine intervention to disrupt the totalitarian, globalist agendas aimed at America and the world (refer to Psalm 33:10).
Today’s Reading
Matthew 24:4-14
Day 19 – 11/2
Quote
“The well-being and success of nations fundamentally rely on the safeguarding and grace of Almighty God. Recognizing this truth at a national level is not merely a vital obligation that the populace owes to Him, but also a crucial aspect of their collective responsibility.”
– John Adams
Verse
Why are the nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?
The kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us tear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”
He who sits in the heavens laughs,
The Lord scoffs at them.
– Psalm 2:1-4
Today’s Prayer Points
Wars are a recurring theme in both the Bible and world history. Currently, conflicts involve nations like Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Iran, and its allies, with China looming as a significant global influence. The prospect of another world war is real. How do we engage in diplomacy with countries that harbor animosity towards us? Russia and China perceive America as a rival in their quest for global dominance. Meanwhile, Iran and many neighboring countries share a deep-seated animosity towards the U.S., rivaling their hostility towards Israel. Although the Bible does not specifically mention World War III, it does refer to an increase in wars during the end times. We understand that the armies of various nations will unite in a formidable force to confront Israel and Jerusalem before the return of Christ. This is destined to happen. We seek God’s timing and methods for our benefit and His glory.
- Pray for the readiness of the U.S. military. Ask that intelligence agencies stay vigilant against any threats to undermine and harm America. Seek the Lord’s protection and intervention to thwart every enemy’s plans, allowing peace to prevail in our nation (see Isaiah 41:10).
- Pray for the disbanding of the alliance between Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, so they do not pose a risk to the U.S. or other countries. Workers are needed for the great harvest before the Lord’s return. In this time of global uncertainty and fear, pray that the Gospel of Christ reaches every unreached people group (see Luke 10:2).
Today’s Reading
Joel 3:9-17
Day 20 – 11/3
Quote
“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great Nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
– Patrick Henry
Verse
On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen;
All day and all night they will never keep silent.
You who remind the LORD, take no rest for yourselves;
And give Him no rest until He establishes
And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
– Isaiah 62:6-7
Today’s Prayer Points
Israel will always hold a central place in God’s divine plan (refer to Zechariah 12:2; Ezra 5:5). What unfolds in Israel is significant for every believer. God’s intentions for Israel remain unchanged, and as we support Israel, we will receive blessings in return (Genesis 12:3). It’s important to remember that our salvation came through the Jewish people, and we have been included in their heritage (Romans 11:17). While they are God’s chosen ones, they have not yet become a righteous nation, and many do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah. Pray for God to instill in you His love for His chosen people, and ask that their hearts be opened and the veil lifted (2 Corinthians 3:16).
- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6-8) and for triumph over their foes in this conflict (Psalm 18:37-39).
- Pray for all descendants of Abraham—Jews and Arabs—to come back to the Father’s house as one family (Luke 15:11-32), united with God and each other through the death and resurrection of the Messiah.
- Pray that both Jews and Muslims turn away from their sins, accept the Gospel, and embrace the Messiah Jesus (Romans 10:10-14).
Today’s Reading
Romans 10:1-13
Day 21 – 11/4
Quote
“God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever.”
– Thomas Jefferson
Verse
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
– Matthew 6:10
Today’s Prayer Points
We all approach prayer with specific intentions, hoping for God’s response, whether it’s for healing, support, or a breakthrough. While He does respond, there are times when the answer is no or not yet. Occasionally, His answers come in ways we never anticipated. Our prayers may come from a sincere place, but sometimes our intentions can be mixed. God is fully aware of our hearts and minds. He doesn’t require our prayers but invites us to partner with Him. His plans and methods are beyond our understanding. Even if we can’t grasp everything, He sees the bigger picture from start to finish. God has had a purpose for America since its inception, just as every nation has its own divine calling. We are praying for that purpose to be realized.
- Thank God that you are here during this important time in history because it is your moment. Thank God you were born in a country like America; while not perfect, we have benefited from its blessings (see Acts 17:26-27).
- Pray for a great awakening in America that will lead to true moral change and a return to the Judeo-Christian values of past generations (see Ephesians 5:13-17).
- Pray for God’s will to be fulfilled in these crucial national elections and for our country to be freed from evil and restored to its special purpose of spreading His light and blessings to the world (see Isaiah 55:8-9).

Quote
Almighty God, we fervently pray that You will safeguard the United States under Your divine protection. We ask that You inspire the hearts of its citizens to embrace a spirit of respect and obedience towards the government, fostering a sense of brotherhood and love among one another and towards all fellow citizens of the nation. Furthermore, we humbly request that You guide us to act justly, to cherish mercy, and to conduct ourselves with the charity, humility, and peaceful disposition that exemplified the Divine Author of our cherished faith. Without a sincere effort to emulate His example in these virtues, we cannot aspire to be a truly happy nation. We implore You to grant our petition through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
– George Washington
Verses
He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God?
– Micah 6:8
Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a disgrace to any people.
– Proverbs 14:34
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
– Romans 12:21
Today’s Prayer Points
Make America Great Again sounds good and is a noble thought, but without a connection to God, it’s empty. The only meaningful and rightful path is to Make Jesus Great Again! In great humility, this country must return to its roots in order for its citizens to be transformed and shaped once again into the greatness of the image of Christ, as Romans 12:2 tells us. Any greatness or exceptionalism this nation has enjoyed is due to God’s hand and His Spirit upon it since its founding and the leaders and citizens who fully recognize such. Unfortunately, too many people as of late including Christians no longer acknowledge or understand this reality.
“If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”
– Ronald Reagan
- Let’s humbly ask God to change our hearts so that we remember the magnitude of our blessings: a free nation that allows us to act justly, cherish mercy, and conduct ourselves with charity, humility, and a peaceful disposition so that righteousness is exalted and truth may abound in the land.
- Let’s pray that God allows what is good, acceptable, and perfect to rule over this nation, that its people and the newly elected president are not conformed to this world, and that all receive a renewed mind in Christ. (Romans 12:2)
- Pray that God would continue to protect us from our many enemies – the multitude who hate this nation and hate the God who lovingly provides its liberties and freedoms. He is why the rivers have not overtaken us, and the fire has not burned us because He delivers us out of them all. (Psalm 34:19, Isaiah 43:2)
- Pray that as a nation, regardless of any outcome, we are reminded not to fear or become anxious, for eternal God is always with us. He is our strength and surety, our help who lovingly upholds us with His righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
- Pray that believers in this nation and all citizens realize and take advantage of the blessing and freedom Americans are given to choose their leaders and not hold that liberty in contempt, as many sadly do. Ask God to invigorate hearts to pray for this nation and to vote.
