He Trembles

Written by:

“When the devil sees a man or woman who really believes in prayer, who knows how to pray, and who really does pray, and, above all, when he sees a whole church on its face before God in prayer, he trembles as much as he ever did, for he knows that his day in that church or community is at an end.”

R.A. Torrey

We scuffle and strive to get so many things done each day and expend all our energy, but time for prayer is often lost.

Curious how that always seems to be?

God’s word reveals,

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms“ (Ephesians 6:12).

Satan is a thief and a liar. He tells us we’re too busy and tired and schemes to steal our time. Let’s ask God to restore what the evil one has stolen and resolve to confront this onslaught and not allow our time and attention to continue to be robbed.

What are we doing with the resources of time God has entrusted to us in this life? We commit to making time for prayer and prioritizing it.

May Satan tremble and God be glorified.
